Key Accountabilities: 

  • Assess the current digital strategy and provide key insights to the executive leadership team;
  • Help to create and begin to implement an innovative and world class digital strategy that aligns with the company’s vision;
  • Coach, lead and inspire a diverse and talented Team;
  • Participate as a key strategic contributor to the Organization’s Digital Transformation Program for the Content Strategy Workstream;
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional Managers and teams to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the digital strategy to deepen existing relationships and create new engagement opportunities with customers and other stakeholders;
  • Work with Managers across the Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs Department, to develop success metrics for digital projects, educating teams on best practices and trends in content consumption and creation;
  • Provide mentoring to digital channel experts and marketing teams to support continuous improvement in digital standards across departments;
  • Leverage data measurement tools to report on actionable insights and key performance indicators (KPIs), making recommendations for changes to the content strategy, and department/initiative plans, striving to continually find ways to improve on KPIs through testing and new initiatives;
  • Engage with the engagement and marketing teams to conduct periodic competitive audits and continually monitor digital content and SEO rankings to see what is performing and how, to support refinement of our approach, building strong engagement and adjusting the digital strategy as research, metrics and monitoring dictates;
  • Use of qualitative and quantitative analysis to better understand the organization’s audiences wants and needs to ensure the organization connects with them in a meaningful way, creating frameworks for developing digital content based on audience insight;
  •  Incorporate and experiment with a variety of different formats within the digital strategy, piloting new content types and approaches; occasionally acting as the designer, creator and promoter of your content to help the organization adopt new content types; proactively consider new opportunities, new channels and new content types to tell the company’s story;
  • Provide guidance on analyzing campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations for revising email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM) and other digital marketing channels across the organization via the team;
  • Provide strategic input into monitoring and providing where possible effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of email marketing, SEM campaigns;
  • Provide counsel to help analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of strategic campaigns to maximize results to leaders within the organization and digital marketing policies for the organization;

 

Competencies and Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of management within website management, web strategy, and digital marketing experience;
  • Experienced at creating and delivering digital marketing strategies;
  • Skilled at analyzing data, deriving insights and building creative output to meet business objectives based on data;
  • Understanding of web analytics and knowledge of SEO;
  • Familiar with various regional compliance requirements for websites, GDPR. CCPA;
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration;
  • Experience using leading enterprise content management system, e-commerce, email marketing, and CRM platforms;
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audience segments and designing website experiences that engage, inform and motivate;
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking;
  • Working knowledge of back-end web development and the design limitations and capabilities as they relate to various digital environments;
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, presentation and communication skills; dynamic team player;
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage all internal and external relationships, vendors and agency partners;
  • Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and work well under pressure.
